Context

This CA RISE photography assignment focused on Planting Justice’s people and working environments. The shoot plan connected three East Bay sites: East Oakland Nursery, Mother Farm, and El Sobrante Nursery.

Approach

We photographed people at work and made portraits alongside details of the plants, tools and growing spaces.
